These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of criblate.com and related services provided through Criblate. By accessing or using Criblate, you agree to these Terms.
You may use Criblate only if you can form a binding contract with us and your use of the service is not prohibited by applicable law. If you use Criblate on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.
Criblate uses Google Sign-In for account access and may allow you to connect a YouTube channel or related Google services. You are responsible for:
Criblate helps creators and translators import YouTube videos and captions, collaborate on translations and subtitle edits, manage review workflows, and publish captions or localized metadata back to YouTube.
By connecting Google or YouTube to Criblate, you authorize Criblate to access and use the Google and YouTube data needed to provide the features you request. You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to connect, import, modify, and publish content associated with your account or channel.
Your use of Google and YouTube through Criblate must also comply with Google's applicable terms, policies, and developer requirements. We may suspend or limit integrations if necessary to maintain compliance or protect the service.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Criblate, including translations, transcript edits, comments, and other materials you upload or create through the service. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and use that content only as needed to operate, provide, improve, and secure Criblate and its user-facing features.
If you submit, edit, review, or approve subtitles, translations, or related metadata for a creator's video through Criblate, you also grant that creator a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, sublicense, and otherwise exploit those contributions in connection with the creator's content, channel, business, and related promotional activities.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit your content and to authorize the uses described in these Terms.
Criblate includes creator and translator collaboration features. By using those features, you understand that certain content and activity, such as subtitles, drafts, review history, and related metadata, may be visible to other authorized users within the product as part of the normal operation of the service.
You may not use Criblate to:
Some Criblate features may require a paid subscription or usage credits. If you purchase a paid plan, you agree to provide current and valid payment information and authorize our payment processor to charge applicable fees, taxes, and renewals in accordance with the plan terms presented at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. We may change pricing or plan features prospectively, with reasonable notice where required.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to Criblate if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, exposed us or third parties to legal liability, or interfered with the operation, security, or compliance of the service. You may stop using Criblate at any time.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Criblate at any time, including adding or removing features, integrations, or limits. We are not obligated to continue supporting any particular feature or integration.
Criblate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legality, or publishability of user-submitted content, machine-generated translations, or third-party platform behavior.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Criblate and its operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or USD $100.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Criblate and its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your content, your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above. By continuing to use Criblate after an update becomes effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
